I've Just Seen A Face

Chapter 34
Home

The next morning all I could think about was the good news of last night. I even stayed in a good mood through my date with the Strip Bar for my lessons. I did my thing once again, bringing home even more money than the other night. I was able to return early that night along with Paul and Ringo.
“How was your night?” Paul asked as I walked in. He looked me over, “Nice outfit,” he said. I was given a ‘strip outfit’ if you want to call it, and I was still wearing it.
“Yeah, you like it?” I said embarrassed and trying to make myself feel less uncomfortable. I knew it was only Paul (Ringo was in the bathroom I think), and secretly I did want him to see me like this, but I wanted a different setting when it occurred. Not me coming home from being a stripper.
“Very much,” he said smiling. I smiled back and went in the other room to change. I decided to be comfortable so I slipped on a tank top and shorts.
“How long have you guys been home?” I asked the two of them when I emerged from the other room.
“Bout an hour,” said Ringo.
“Same here,” said Paul.
“Well, that must be nice,” I said sitting down on the couch next to Paul, “You guys making good money?”
“Ah, fair amount. Nothing like you though, I spose,” Paul said, complimenting me. Ringo agreed.
“Well, it has nothing to do with me. It kinda just comes with this type of job,” I said.
“That’s true, but a lot does have to do with you. You’re the hottest girl they’ve ever seen,” Paul said, nodding to himself and checking me over again. I blushed. Thankfully Ringo was nodding off on the couch.
“Thanks Paul,” I said laughing to break the sexual tension, “I wish this trip was over,” I said leaning back, some what sore from all the different types of dancing I had to do.
“Yeah,” Paul said. I suddenly sat up, “You okay?” He asked when he noticed my sudden mood change.
“Yeah, can I talk to you?” I said standing up and grabbing his hand.
“Sure,” he said confused, but obliging anyway. We walked into the other room.
“I wasn’t sure if Ringo was asleep yet, but I have some good news.” I said. He continued to look confused.
“What?”
“I’m not pregnant!” I whispered excitedly. His face suddenly lit up.
“You’re not?”
“No. I did what you said and took another test. It was a definite no!” I said hugging him. I smiled because I’ve never felt this happy before. He returned the hug.
“That’s great news luv,” he said kissing me on the top of my head, “Have you told Davy yet?” he then asked. I shook my head.
“No. As wrong as this sounds, things seem to be a lot better now that he thinks that I am. I mean, he’s a lot nicer to me.” I could tell Paul didn’t understand, “I just think this trip will be a lot better if he’s not angry or hurt. Remember what happened on our last little trip like this? He kept stopping and saying to go on without him. We don’t need that again….” Paul nodded.
“That’s true. That was bloody annoying.”
“So you aren’t mad at me for doing this?” I asked.
“No,” he smiled. I smiled in return. We returned into the other room where Ringo was now sound asleep. Paul and I sat next to each other on the couch, and decided to watch a flick on TV. About halfway through, my eyelids began to get extremely heavy. Not even thinking, I rested my head on Paul’s shoulder to fall asleep. He kissed me gently on the head, and then I was out. I woke up the next morning, surprisingly still on Paul’s shoulder. Paul, of course still sleeping, remained on the couch while I went to find the others. They were down in the lobby getting something to eat.
“Morning, Olivia,” Brittany said giving me a look. I just smiled.
“Good morning,” I said and went to sit next to Davy. He just smiled at me, not saying a word. I was thankful for that.
“We have good news,” John said.
“Yeah, what’s that?” I asked.
“We can go home,”
“Really? We made enough money?” I asked.
“Almost. I just need you to model one more time for me this afternoon, and then we can head to Jared’s house. The plane leaves tomorrow morning.” Davy said. I agreed to the Fashion thing and left with Davy. When we arrived back to the hotel, everybody was awake and ready to go. It was around 2pm when we left, and it was quite a ways to walk back to Jared’s. And we didn’t even know if we remembered where we were going. Fortunately for us, we made to Jared’s by nightfall and he was able to help us out again. We also had some left over money to repay him for his kindness. We all sat and told Jared about the last few days, and I noticed a girl walking in and out of the rooms. Finally, she came and sat with us.
“Oh, hey guys, this is my sister, Susie.” Jared said.
“Hi, nice to meet you all,” she said, looking especially at Davy. I glanced over to see his reaction and saw just what I expected.
“Same to you Susie,” he said, being a dork and kissing her hand. She blushed and he smiled. I couldn’t believe he was still doing this when he thought I was pregnant with his kid. It immediately pissed me off.
“You look really tense, let me help you,” she said and walked over behind Davy. She sat down and began massaging his shoulders, and I continued to stare. Personally, I could care less if he flirted, because I didn’t love him like that anymore, but under the current circumstances, I was pissed. As he sat there, thoroughly enjoying himself, I decided to take action of my own. I walked over to Paul.
“Hey, do you want to go in the other room for awhile?” I asked him. He looked up at me.
“Uh, sure,” he said.
“Well you don’t have to if you don’t want to,” I told him, feeling like he didn’t really care to. He made a face.
“Of course I want to, but-” he whispered and stopped, nodding his head towards Davy. I looked behind me at Davy, who had noticed me talking to Paul, but yet didn’t stop Susie. I turned back to Paul.
“I could really care less,” I said grabbing Paul’s hand and leading him out of the room with me. We went into the other room and I shut the door. I turned towards Paul and looked at him with lust. I don’t know what came over me, but right now I wanted him more than ever. I began walking towards him as he, shocked, backed onto the bed. I walked right up to him, my stomach in his face. He looked up at me.
“I have a secret,” I told him, running my hands through his hair. He swallowed hard.
“Oh, yeah? What?” he asked, and if I wasn’t mistaken he seemed a bit nervous.
“You know when I was a stripper?”
“Yeah…”
“I wanted you to come see me,” I whispered into his ear, and leaned him back on the bed.
“Oh really?” he asked some what in a teasing voice. I smiled.
“Yes, really,” I said and kissed his neck. I swallowed hard and was suddenly nervous. This wasn’t like me, and the thing was, I was normal…..
“Well, I wanted to come see you, but, you know,” he said, running his hand up and down my back.
“Yeah. It was weird. A part of me wanted you to see me, but the other didn’t.” I said. He smiled, and kissed me.
“Are you okay? This isn’t like you,” he said. I pulled back away from him a bit.
“You don’t like?” I asked and pretended to get up. He pulled me back down laughing.
“I didn’t say that luv, I just said it was different. I like it.” He said smiling. I smiled.
“Me too.” I said and began kissing him. We kissed for a few moments when the door opened.
“Olivia!” I heard Davy shout, and I didn’t even pull back quickly. I slowly stopped kissing Paul. I looked at him and he just looked back at me. I pouted and rolled my eyes before turning around. I was sick of this.
“Yes Davy?” I asked.
“Um, what are you doing?!” He asked pissed.
“What does it look like? I was kissing Paul.” I said. He was shocked at my reaction to being caught.
“I saw that, but why?”
“Because Davy, you were enjoying a rather “nice” massage from Susie, so I figured it would be okay if I were to you know,” I said nonchalantly. Paul sat up next to me, and remained silent. He seemed somewhat amused.
“She was easing the tension,” he said.
“And Paul was helping me in different ways,” I said shrugging.
“That’s not the same, and Olivia, you’re pre-” he began to say. I laughed.
“Davy don’t even… First off, it didn’t seem to stop you, so you can’t use that against me. And second, I’m not.” I said. I know I said I wasn’t going to tell him, but I had too.
“What?”
“I’m not pregnant Davy. I took another test and it was wrong.” He just stood there shocked. He didn’t say another word and left the room. In a way I felt bad, must mostly I just wanted all this to end and be with Paul.
“Oh, Paul, why can’t this be over with?” I said frustrated. He brought me into his arms.
“It will soon,” he whispered just holding me. We stayed there for awhile before leaving to go to bed. No one really said anything. I think they could feel the tension in the room. The next day it was time to go home, and I couldn’t wait.

I woke up not quite feeling myself. I didn’t feel like talking to anyone nor being nice to them. I snapped at everyone, so after awhile they just stopped talking to me. As we waited for the plane, I tried to figure out what was bothering me so, but nothing came to me. Jared was beginning to creep us out, so we left extremely early for the airport. In fact, we weren’t even allowed in the building yet.
“So, everyone excited to go home?” John asked. Everyone mumbled their yeses, and we were quiet once more.
“Jeez, isn’t everyone happy today,” Paul said sarcastically, and for some reason that pissed me off even more.
“Shut up Paul,” I said glaring at him. He turned, surprised.
“I was just joking,” he said in defense. I rolled my eyes.
“Well, it wasn’t funny. It was an annoying comment,” I told him. He brought his hands up as if to say ‘sor-ry’. I felt everybody watching us.
“You better be,” I mumbled.
“What’s your problem?” He asked, getting annoyed himself.
“You,” I said. He frowned.
“I don’t see why, I’m not the one with a stick up my ass,” he mumbled. John snickered, and Paul turned to him and joined in the laughter.
“You think that was funny?” I asked, eyebrows raised and still pissed.
“Well, it’s the truth. You’re kinda being a bitch.” He said making a face. I smiled and got up. I walked towards Paul and he kinda flinched back not sure of what I was going to do.
“Well, you’re an ass Paul,” I said and slapped him. I returned to my seat and was quiet the rest of the time. Paul was clearly not happy with me, and I can understand why. Hours later I was back to myself not knowing what came over me. It was quite a long flight from Greenland to Malibu, so there was a lot of time to move around. I glanced back at Paul, and John’s spot next to him was open. I looked around and spotted John talking to some girl, so I figured the seat for now was up for the taking. I made it a lot easier to approach Paul by pretending Davy wasn’t even there. I walked over to Paul’s row. The minute he saw it was me he leaned away.
“Can I sit down?” I asked. He just looked at me, a mix of hurt, confusion, and anger in his face.
“Depends, you better not slap me again,” he said. I winced.
“I won’t I promise,” I said sitting down. He went back to looking at his magazine.
“Paul,” I said putting my hand on his. He stopped looking at the magazine and pulled away. I continued, “ I don’t know what came over me. I wasn’t myself. You know that.” I said. He just looked at me.
“Yeah, well, why did you have to come after me?” he asked.
“You were the only one responding to me, I don’t know. Like I said, I don’t know what it was. I think it was some weird thing going on….Paul I’m sooo sorry,” I said trying to touch his hand again. This time he didn’t pull away.
“That’s alright. I probably shouldn’t of egged you on like that. I could tell there was something wrong, so I should’ve stayed quiet….but to slap me??” he asked still surprised I did that.
“I know, I’m sorry Paul,”
“You hit hard girl,” he said rubbing his cheek, “Remind me never to piss you off again,” I laughed slightly.
“Well if it’s any consolation, that’s the first time I’ve ever slapped someone, and I’ve been really mad before.”
“So I was the first aye? Lucky me,” he said laughing. I leaned over and kissed his still red cheek.
“If we weren’t on this plane, I’d kiss you right now,” I whispered. He turned to face me.
“And I’d let you,” he said.
“So we’re good?” I asked him.
“Yes,” he said smiling and giving my hand a little squeeze. After a few minutes I returned to my seat and after what seemed like forever, we were home, but as for Paul and I, we weren’t home for long. We were only home for a couple of weeks before our own personal adventure began, and the beginning to a wonderful and loving relationship….
